10
Four categories. One numeric grade. Every point documented by written criteria, not examiner discretion.
Every grade maps to defined condition criteria
10 — Gem Mint
8–9 — Near Mint
5–7 — Excellent to Good
1–4 — Poor to Fair
Flawless corners, no surface wear, perfect centering. Reserved for cards with zero measurable condition defects.
Minimal wear detectable under magnification. Edges and corners show slight fraying; surface gloss mostly intact.
Visible corner wear, light creasing, or off-center print. Each sub-grade reflects a specific, documented condition tier.
Heavy creasing, surface damage, or significant centering failures. Grade assigned regardless of card rarity or market value.

Written criteria. Independent measurement.
Each corner assessed individually under magnification. Fraying, blunting, and delamination recorded as separate condition events.
All four edges examined for chipping, roughness, and print registration. Edge integrity is scored independently from corner wear.
Front and back surfaces catalogued for scratches, print defects, staining, and gloss loss. Each defect classified by type and location.
Left-to-right and top-to-bottom offset measured as a percentage ratio. Centering tolerances are fixed in the written standard.
A tenth of a point is a documented distinction
